Teachers should seek to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to build and advocate for their beliefs, identities, and passions.”

Ruth’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Chemistry

Why Chemistry

“I love that literally everything in our world can be explained through a chemical lens. Further, chemistry is unique because it requires both content knowledge and scientific skills, such as asking critical questions, making evidence-based claims, and analyzing data. I hope to share my passion for chemistry with my students and support them in developing scientific skills to become exemplary scholars and citizens.”
