I think what you are doing is great, but my uncle Georges Vasiliou
Panagiotopoulos (1917-2007) wrote a book on School Gardens in Greek in 1952
Athens. He is credited with turning school gardens into engines of
scientific education which was responsible with a boom in scientific
achievement for agrarian children. My uncle graduated Plato’s Academy in
1940 but never realised his scholarship to France and instead ended up in a
German POW camp in Crete. After the war, he was assigned to a village named
Aegalianos which was soon destroyed by the communists, so he was appointed
Palace Tutor for the royal children (incl the ex-King Constantine). In 1960
he was chief of staff for education Minister Karapiperis and ended his career
as an elementary schools superstition. Godspeed for your good work!
