Teachers at the Center of Improving Math and Science Education:
Knowles Welcomes 2024 Cohort of Fellows
Moorestown, N.J., November 11, 2024 – The Knowles Teacher Initiative is thrilled to welcome the 2024 Cohort of Teaching Fellows, a group of exceptional educators committed to advancing math and science education across the nation.
The five-year Knowles Teaching Fellows Program is uniquely designed to meet the needs of early-career biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics teachers dedicated to improving math and science education in the United States. Through this program, Knowles Teaching Fellows gain access to a robust set of resources, including:
- Membership in a national community of over 500 dedicated math and science educators;
- Personalized coaching and mentoring from experienced teachers and educational leaders; and
- Financial support for professional development, classroom resources, and stipends.
“Supporting early-career teachers in the essential work they do is more critical now than ever,” said Knowles President and CEO Jeff Rozelle. “By investing in these educators, we give them the tools they need to create classrooms where every student can thrive in math and science. We are honored to welcome this year’s cohort of Fellows to the Knowles community.”
“Knowles is an amazing opportunity to learn from others, share ideas, and build community. Teaching is challenging work. There is nothing more important for a teacher, for both their mental health and for their practice, than having a community to support them and push them to continue to reflect on their work and improve their practice,” stated Cathryn Tuttle, 2024 Knowles Teaching Fellow.
