Madison Park

Senior Fellow & Academy Instructor

Curriculum Developer at Amplify Desmos Math

Many students have given up on learning math or categorized it as unnecessary for their lives. I hope that my passion for the subject will help convince them otherwise.”

Madison’s Story

Madison taught HS math in Maryland and California public schools for 9 years. Knowles introduced her to the 5 Practices and Complex Instruction, which she found transformative in her practice. She led PLC work with thoughtful colleagues to intentionally embed language development, problem-solving strategies, modeling, and reasoning into their courses.

Now she develops Amplify Desmos 6–12 grade math curriculum that is delightful, accessible, grounded in equity principles, and highlights student brilliance. She feels super grateful that she works with incredible colleagues who are justice oriented and multiple of them are Senior Knowles Fellows!

Madison also enjoys hiking, exploring new places, cooking, working out, and crafting with her partner and two little ones.
