Teachers should help students make sense of society and the world around them and give them the tools to be able to make informed decisions about their own lives. They should be active and present members of the community in which they teach.”
Rachel taught English to immigrant communities for four years in New Jersey and one year in Mexico. She also taught U.S. civics and history to Legal Permanent Residents in preparation for naturalization interviews. Additionally, she worked as a corporate consultant for three years.
Rachel will begin her first year of teaching at Mission High School during the 2022–2023 school year.
